SUMMARY:

Works with the Project Architect and Project Manager and as a member of the project design team to coordinate the design development, production, and delivery of projects. Responsible for working with the project team to assist the overall effort of completing various project phases. Some assignments require independent action and decision making. This position reports to the Director of Architecture.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent.
• One to five years’ experience.
• LEED credential a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, Illustrator.
• Basic knowledge of architectural building systems.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• No Sponsorship.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• With direction from the project architect, has ability to develop, modify, and/or review drawings ensuring the incorporation of design intent.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
• Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and builds models in Revit for client/project team review.
• Compiles data and performs elementary design computations.
• Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
• Builds physical models.
• Ability to communicate, both verbal and in written.
• Meets deadlines.
• Ability to participate in QA/QC process.
• Ability to assist the project architect in the construction administration process.
