SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for the project financial performance and team communication. Responsible for developing project scope of services, schedules, and fee and budget during the contract development process. Manages project man hours, directs team members and consultants at all levels to ensure the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Ensures work is completed as planned and in conformance with the design intent.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
- 6+ years’ experience in architectural practice with prior management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy.
- Licensed Architect with current registration preferred.
- No Sponsorship.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to assist in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services during the contract development process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope and lead multiple project teams.
- Ability to track outstanding proposals and get signed proposals and notice to proceed.
- Responsible for maintaining client relationships throughout project. Keeps client apprised of project progress on regular basis.
- Ability to leverage relationships with clients to maintain invoice collections timely, within 60 days.
- Consults with client to determine function and spatial requirements, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Ability to integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit.
- Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer products.
- Assists in preparing project presentations. May participate and/or lead client presentations.
- Ability to identify top talent and build highly effective teams. Ability to coach and develop team members.
- Proficiency in Deltek Vision preferred. Proficiency in Newforma preferred.
- Ability to set up workplans in Deltek Vision and update regularly. Includes identification of project team members, budget, consultants, schedule, fees and costs.
- Identifies new business opportunities while developing current client relationships. Listens for and seeks out new projects which may exist or are being formulated.
- Defines staff requirements for projects as needed or directed.
